The German, 48, was favourite for the role since Rodgers was sacked, and one of the most charismatic coaches in football joined one of the most historic clubs in football on Friday morning. Brendan Rodgers has been sacked as Liverpool manager after his team drew the Merseyside derby earlier today. After reassurances at the end of last season, results haven’t improved this campaign despite a lot of money being put into the club.
