England are in the humiliating position of being about to lose the Ashes in a 5-0 whitewash as they lost the fourth test to Australia by eight wickets.
It has been a horrible series since day one for England, and the team that thrashed Australia 3-0 just a few months ago are falling apart completely against the same team.
Mitchell Johnson has certainly been the star of this Ashes series with his amazing bowling, and the Australians batters have also looked like new players in this series.
England, meanwhile, are terrible. Many questions are being asked about captain Alistair Cook and almost everyone else in the Three Lions team.
England need to go away from Australia and have a serious change, or England international cricket may be doomed.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas from Teen Sport News! I hope you had a very enjoyable Christmas and have a great new year.
Early in the new year, I will be publishing a ‘review of 2013’. We did
a similar thing in 2012.
For the blog itself, it has been a year of change. In November, we decided to change the blog’s host website (Blogspot to WordPress) and the name of the blog – Zachary’s Sports News to Teen Sport News.
I don’t want to give away too much, but included in that post I talk about how that even though 2013 was never given very high hopes after the spectacular 2012, it has proven to be a brilliant year for British sport. Reviews include Wales’ Six Nations win, Manchester United’s 20th league title and Sir Alex Ferguson’s subsequent retirement, England triumphant Ashes series in the summer and Andy Murray ending Britain’s wait for a Wimbledon title.
Whatever your plans for 2014 are, I hope you have some time to keep it Teen Sport News.

The Scot, 26, had a tough year with injuries but his
Wimbledon win in July was enough the secure the prestigious award.
Murray ended a 77-year wait for a British victor in that competition by beating Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles.

Michael Laudrup’s Swansea progressed despite losing.
Swansea joined Tottenham in the next round of the Europa League despite losing 1-0 to St. Gallen.
Playing in bad fog, Swansea needed a draw against the Swiss side to secure qualification but their former points total was enough to see them through.
