Arsenal were on the back foot of a heavy defeat but are still top of the Premier League despite Luis Suarez once again starring in a big win for second-place Liverpool.
Star-studded Manchester City, in a match pitting the team with the best home record against the best away record, beat league leaders Arsenal 6-3. Fernandinho, pictured above, scored his first two goals for City in the win.
Liverpool kept up the pressure on Arsenal with a thrashing of Tottenham. Luis Suarez again ran the show for the Reds as he scored two in the 5-0 win, a game which eventually led to the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.
Manchester United were able to end their losing streak with a 3-0 away vitory over Aston Villa. Chelsea struggled a little against Crystal Palace but in the end beat Tony Pulis’ side 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
