India were again the much better side as they cruised to a six-wicket win over England in the third ODI, giving them a 2-0 series lead.
Despite losing the toss, England’s openers batted well to reach 82-0, but three wickets then fell in quick succession. The rest of the side played very badly apart from Jos Buttler and James Tredwell, whose good scores hauled England to 227 all out, with Ravichandram Ashwin taking 3-39.
India came in to bat and started well, with opener Ajinkya Rahane, moved up the order after an injury to Rohit Sharma, scoring 45. Ambati Rayadu, Sharma’s replacement in the side, high-scored with a well-take 64 not out, to help India coast to victory with seven overs to spare on 228-4.
