Cricket World Cup round-up

England look like they will go out of the Cricket World Cup in the group stages in Australia and New Zealand.

England have lost badly against Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka, with a win over lowly Scotland their only victory as of yet.

New Zealand and India have impressed at the tournament, both unbeaten and looking likely to progress as one of the eight teams in the quarter finals.

Both beat fierce rivals Australia and Pakistan in their groups, and have beaten the other test sides in their groups.

Australia and South Africa have had a mixed bag of results but both look likely to qualify.

There have been some big scores, with AB de Villiers scoring 162 off just 66 balls for South Africa. Chris Gayle hit an amazing 215 for West Indies as well.

There have been some great games between non test playing sides, with Ireland looking likely to qualify from group B, and Afghanistan impressing.

I predict that the semi-final stage will feature New Zealand, Australia, India and South Africa, but it will be too close to call between those four sides.
