Klopp appointed Liverpool manager

Jurgen Klopp has been announced as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement as Liverpool manager. The German, 48, was favourite for the role since Rodgers was sacked, and one of the most charismatic coaches in football joined one of the most historic clubs in football on Friday morning.

Klopp led former team Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League final during his seven-year tenure, but left after a disappointing season, finishing seventh in the league. However, he was always favourite for the Reds job, with fans in favour of the appointment.

He fought off ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to the job, and became the new favourite of the press during his first conference.

So, what do you think of the appointment? Are you a Liverpool fan who thinks it was the correct decision? Feel free to post a comment.
