My Premier League predictions: 2014-15

Can Manchester City retain their title?

Welcome to my annual predictions post. This is where I will tell you where I think each Premier League team will finish, and for the first time I will give a paragraph with my thoughts on each team.

While last time pre-season was about new managers, this time it is the players who have come to the league and those that have left.

Round-up: Football season intensifies

Football:Liverpool beat Manchester City to give them the initiative in the Premier League title race. The Reds have a five point lead over Chelsea and a six point lead over City, although the Manchester side have a game in hand.

In the lower leagues, Leicester, Wolves and Brentford have all been promoted, in a list that could soon be expanded.

Cricket:the Indian Premier League, or IPL, has had the first round of fixtures. The competing teams include the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

England have named a new head coach to replace Andy Flower. Former coach and current Lancashire coach Peter Moores will take charge of the team.

other sport:Laura Robson has been ruled out of the French Open; Lewis Hamilton has won the opening Grand Prix. And we hope that we can continue to make regular posts!
